"Leaked" Specs for the upcoming Nikon P1000 successor, the Nikon P1100. New 20 mega pixel BSI CMOS sensor, weather resistant sealed body, 4K @60FPS and 1080p @ 120FPS, 24mm to 3600mm [150 x optical zoom], aperture F2.8 - F8. However, some people do report slightly different specifications, like a different mega pixel count, smaller touch screen etc. So take this video with a grain of salt. If these are the true specs, and I owned any of the following "P" models; the P900, P950 or P1000, I don't think I would be in any great rush to upgrade. Release date is said to be around October, November, December 2022. You can check current availability here.

Don't hold your breath waiting for this model to be released. Go for one of the two already out.
With a maximum ISO range of 6400, the Nikon P1000 is an excellent option for shooting in low-light conditions. However, this camera is more expensive than the Nikon P900. The Nikon P900 has a maximum ISO range of 12800 but lacks the super-slow shutter speed of the P1000. Which one is better?
This means they can shoot in any lighting condition without introducing noise to your images. The Nikon P900 has a larger sensor than the Nikon P1000, which makes it a better choice for shooting landscapes and stationary subjects. Both cameras have a fixed maximum aperture of f/2.8, so choosing between them depends on your preference for sharpness or depth of field.
While both are excellent choices for general photography, we recommend the Nikon P1000 if you plan to shoot in low light or use slow shutter speeds. The more expensive model has more versatile performance, but it’s also larger and heavier than the cheaper version. Regardless of your choice, consider purchasing an SD memory card as soon as possible to maximize performance.
Both cameras offer great performance in a wide range of shooting conditions, but I recommend purchasing the cheaper Nikon P900 if you want to save money on an initial camera purchase budget.
